Five of the project sites (Dromalonhurt, Emlaghdauroe, Eskeragh, Croaghonagh and Slieve Blooms)
have been selected as project demonstration areas. These are the focus of a public awareness
programme over the duration of the project, the aim of which is to encourage local communities, students, and stakeholders
to benefit from the project by visiting and enjoying the bogs and their wildlife. Signage,
boardwalks and interpretative displays have been erected at each demonstration site. Field
days, education days and general visits have taken place during the summer months at each
of the demonstration sites.
